Hello This is Dave. I have Three replacements, None have worked as described! These were good however, the quality went south. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY ON THIS JUNK!!! I don't know why they don't make the single catchers a bit longer. Their little tails often get stuck. I hate that.

I first tried to use copper mesh over an opening much smaller than the one you’re working with. & the rat ate through it like it was butter. Copper mesh only works on brick weep holes to prevent mice from chewing through.

How do I get that oil?

My led electric bug zapper acts like a disco ball. The flies love the ambience it provides! I got one fly locked into the bathroom with the LED Blue/purple lighted bug zapper on. I even have a glue strip hanging in there, too, and I went in there with my electronic bug racket swatter. Im swirling and twirling and dancing around, not with a happy smile, but an angry look plastered on my face. The jolts from the bug racket when I hit the fly (several times) just act like some good youth of fountain electricity, the same kind that brings frankenstein to life. There is no dead fly. This John Travolta fly is reliving the 1970's. I swear i hear the song "More than a Woman" playing as the Travolta fly mocks me for not being able to catch him. The LED provides the perfect ambience lighting for the scene. Help!!!!

Why is this guy so bad at camerawork lol, the mosquito dunk video had terrible focus and his pic here of tiki torches is so blurry! Lol it doesn't matter this time considering it's just an ambient photo but if you're gonna put it in a video I would think it would be a better idea to take a couple more seconds and be a little more still when taking the photo. 1). Usage for flies. I don't care about the night critters (mosquitos, moths), but only flies during the day on my patio. Can they be timed to only come on at dawn and go off at dusk? 2). Should we be concerned that it will kill friendly animals/insects like bees, lizards and frogs? What solution have you found to help eliminate this? Perhaps some smaller-hold mesh wire or 1/4-3/8 in. screen wrapped around the unit so just small insects like mosquitoes, flies, moths can enter through adapted smaller holes? What idea have you folks come up with as a solution because it's one of the dangers/disappoints at this point to use electronic to "throw the baby out with the dishwater?" Thanks

Circle mosquito nets are for baby beds that have high laterals that can hold the net on the corners. Or those old bed frames that had high pikes both in the head and feet of the bed frame.

Not only does this not work - it REALLY doesn't work. I followed the tips and tricks. The cotton balls are saturated in the oil. There's not a doubt that a rat can smell it. And the rats are literally walking through the oil. If anything the rats seem to like the smell.

I received a bat condo that supposedly will hold 300 bats? I received it as a gift 20 years ago. It was made by Baldwin Furniture. They made great outdoor furniture. It is made with cedar. I live in Connecticut & inquired with the state dept. of DEEP. They suggested it be painted flat black except the surface they need to land on & crawl inside. They suggested mounting it 15’ to 21’ feet up. Facing south with a water feature nearby. It came with no hardware to mount it? I had to mount my own hardware. I’m a lineman for the local power company. I acquired an old push brace (wood pole). I hand dug a pole hole in my swamp. I got down about 3’ & used an old steel barrel that I cut the bottom out of. I pushed that down in the muck & continued digging down & pushing the barrel down until I was down about 4 feet. I rigged a wood block in a tree & a rope to the tip of the pole & slid the wood pole toward the hole & used a flat board to catch it as it slid into the hole. I was able to pull the pole vertical with help from a retired lineman. I back filled the hole with crushed stone. Once it was set & plumb. I tamped it tight with larger stones. I drilled holes from the bottom 18” up on opposing sides for old steel pole steps from old poles. I ran them up the pole to the top or 17 feet up. I predrilled holes for my old pole hardware to mount the bat condo to. I rigged a block to the top of the pole & raised it up to the top. I climbed the pole using the steps & used my floating lineman’s belt & strap to work with both hands. I landed it successfully. Later I attached 36” wide steel flashing to keep animals from climbing up & bothering them. I cut down all the neighboring trees that shaded it. All I seem to attract are wasps? No bats yet despite a running stream nearby? I asked my farmer neighbor. He informed me of white nose syndrome that was killing off mature bats at the time. He said diseases like that run in cycles. I would have to be patient? 15 years later & still no bats? What gives?

I live on the gulf coast, roaches are everywhere. Our house is clean and we don't have anything close to an infestation but they do get in sometimes (probably through the dog door). Put these around the house once a year in the dark spots/along walls, noticeable difference.
